CREC: Homebound Instruction for Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities | Hartford, Connecticut

This program is for homebound instruction in hospital or home settings within the CREC region for students, three to 21 years old, who have multiple disabilities and/or medical needs.

Instruction is provided by an experienced special education teacher, specifically trained and knowledgeable of students with low-incidence disabilities, such as traumatic brain injury, ventilator dependent, multiple disabilities, etc.

Related services are available upon request including occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathology, and music therapy.

Collaborative relationship developed with the district to implement current IEP, general education curriculum, and/or modifications to programming as required by student's needs.

Educational evaluations are provided upon request to determine student's present level of performance (academic and/or functional performance). Proposed goals and objectives are then provided for educational planning.
