Literacy

Literacy is most commonly defined as the ability to read and write. However, nowadays, reading encompasses complex visual and digital media as well as printed material. Beyond the functional level, literacy plays a vital role in transforming students into socially engaged citizens. Being able to read and write means being able to keep up with current events, communicate effectively, and understand the issues that are shaping our world. CREC offers a variety of services that can help students with dyslexia or other reading problems.

Vocational Preparation

The Vocational Services department provides vocational assessment and training for students ages 16 to 22. The goal of the Vocational Services department is to develop basic skills that best equip each student to transition to an optimal work setting upon graduation.
