Integrated Education and Training (IET) / Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) are models that concurrently provide basic literacy education and occupational skills training to ABE/ESL students. This integrated approach prepares students for various careers in industries where support skills are in demand or part of expected job requirements.
This 15-week course runs in partnership with CT State Manchester Community College and helps adult learners obtain their medical office assistant certification while providing an opportunity to receive six college credits along with ELL classes designed to improve reading, writing, listening, and oral communication skills. The training consists of four college-level courses including communications, keyboarding skills, medical billing/records, and medical office terminology. There is also internship or job placement support available to students upon successful completion of the program.

This 12-week course runs in partnership with CT State Manchester Community College and helps adult learners obtain their Central Sterile Processing Technician certification while providing an opportunity to take the state licensure exam. Students will gain the knowledge and skills related to infection prevention, inspection and sterilization of surgical devices, and identification of basic surgical instruments along with ELL classes designed to improve reading, writing, listening, and oral communication skills.There is also internship or job placement support available to students upon successful completion of the program.
