CREC Resource Group Professional Learning Services

CREC Resource Group’s Professional Learning Services team provides in-district consulting, coaching, councils, consortia, program reviews, professional learning workshops, and online learning across all numerous content areas: Math, Literacy, Language Arts, Science, equity and anti-racism, special education, multilingual learners, early childhood, assistive technology, education technology, digital citizenship, wellness and more. Advanced Alternate Route to Certification (AARC)

Advanced Alternate Route to Certification (AARC) is a program for certified Connecticut teachers to earn a cross-endorsement in Comprehensive Special Education.

21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC)

21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) programs provide support to federally funded programs, including professional development, training, and networking opportunities. Programs provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and recreational opportunities to children after school as well as literacy and educational services to families.

CT Family School Partnerships (CFSP)

CT Family School Partnerships (CFSP) is Connecticut’s statewide family engagement center, building the capacity of CT schools, districts, and families. CFSP provides technical assistance to educators and supports through direct services, training, and promoting shared leadership between schools families.

CT Teacher Residency Program (CT TRP)

The CT Teacher Residency Program (CT TRP) is focused on diversifying teaching staff across the state of Connecticut. We partner with school districts in a “grow-your-own” model leading to CT State Certification in elementary and special education. Our Residents and graduates give students windows and mirrors into their lived experiences and possibilities for their future.

The CT Home Visit HUB at CREC

The CT Home Visit HUB at CREC offers a variety of professional development opportunities and peer support as part of the State’s Learner Engagement and Attendance Program (LEAP). LEAP is a partnership with the Connecticut State Department of Education and RESC Alliance that provides a research-based home visit program to improve student attendance and family engagement.

Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE)

The Montessori Training Center Northeast (MTCNE) serves as the only Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training center in the Northeast United States. In addition to teacher training MTCNE serves as a central location offering support to our diverse Alumni community and Montessori schools both nationally and internationally.

CREC Soundbridge

CREC Soundbridge provides services from Teachers of the Deaf and Audiologists as related service providers, coaches, consultants, trainers, and diagnosticians to support school team members and students with hearing loss or auditory processing deficits in accessing the curriculum and benefiting from learning and school activities.

Staffing Solutions

Staffing Solutions Services delivers highly-qualified professionals for short and long-term assignments, including comprehensive student assessments. Specializing in staff to support special education and related services, saving organizations time and money in recruitment.
