Since 1966, the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), working with and for its member districts, has developed a wide array of cost-effective and high-quality programs and services to meet the educational needs of children and adults in Greater Hartford.
CREC's assistive technology team provides a variety of assistive technology (AT) services for students with disabilities. Our team includes seasoned experts in the field of AT including speech-language pathologists, assistive technology practitioners and literacy specialists with expertise in AT.
Soundbridge is a regional program for children with hearing loss who are using spoken language to communicate and to learn. Providing a variety of educational programs to help students gain access to sound, learn to listen, learn social skills and learn self-advocacy skills, including attending regular classes with hearing peers.
