CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Student Competes at National History Bee

(Hartford, Conn.) Congratulations to Rufus Abraham, an eighth-grader at CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, Windsor, for representing the school in the championship round of the National History Bee’s National Finals in Atlanta. Rufus competed against 79 other eighth-grade regional winners from throughout the country for the title of National History Bee Grand Champion. The Glastonbury resident just missed moving on to the quarterfinals by one point, but made the school proud just the same.

The National Finals are held each year during an exciting weekend of competitions and activities. This year’s competitions took place on Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2. All students participated in a series of exam and buzzer rounds on Friday to see which students would advance to additional buzzer rounds on Saturday.
