Trinity Basketball Coach and Players Address CREC Athletes
CREC Student Athletes get Advice from Trinity College Coach and Players
(Hartford, Conn.) Student-athletes at CREC Academy of Science and Innovation in New Britain recently heard firsthand what to expect as college athletes from James Cosgrove, Trinity College’s head men's basketball coach, and four of his players. They also talked about developing positive habits on and off the playing field. The high school audience enjoyed a lively question and answer session with the coach and players. Earlier in the school year, Coach Cosgrove and his athletes spoke to students at PSA Civic Leadership High School in Enfield.
Coach Cosgrove is in his eighth season as head men's basketball coach at Trinity College, after guiding the Bantams to a 16-10 overall record and a fourth consecutive appearance in the NESCAC Semifinals. Trinity finished tied for fourth in the league standings at 6-4 and winning its NESCAC Quarterfinal game at Wesleyan, 51-49, to become the only team in the conference to play in each of the last four NESCAC Semifinals.
