Paraeducator Certificate Program
Online, five-course program of study, provided in conjunction with Charter Oak State College, designed for aspiring or practicing paraeducators interested in obtaining college credit.
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate
Seven-course, online program of study for aspiring and/or practicing speech and language pathology assistants presented by CREC and Charter Oak State College.
Advanced Alternate Route to Certification for Special Education (AARC)
An exciting and innovative 14-month competency-based course of study approved by the Connecticut State Department of Education for certified teachers to earn a cross-endorsement in Comprehensive Special Education.
Audit and Program Assessment
Participants in this certification training will learn techniques for conducting program reviews, including the use of protocols for gathering data.
In an effort to assist districts with the challenges of school security, CREC is offering security training and services. CREC's Director of Security is a retired State Police Lieutenant and can assist districts in various ways to ensure school security.
Paraeducator Professional Development
Five basic and 16 advanced PD modules available to schools and districts on topics such as roles and responsibilities, connecting instruction to Common Core State Standards, and school climate.
