Capitol Region Interdistrict Leadership Academy
CRILA is a grant-operated summer and school-year program for high school juniors and seniors. CRILA's mission is to provide a diverse forum whereby students practice ethical and collaborative leadership through travel, research, and community service.
Homebound Instruction for Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities
Homebound instruction in a hospital or home setting within the CREC region for students, 3 to 21 years of age, who have multiple disabilities and/or medical needs.
IPM: Integrated Classrooms for Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities
Classrooms within the CREC region for students, 3 to 21 years of age, who have multiple disabilities and/or medical needs. Staffed by a special education teacher, registered nurse, and paraprofessionals. Services include OT, PT, SLP, and music therapy.
School Counseling Services
Quality school counseling services through professional development and technical assistance from experienced school counselors.
Consultation Services: Complex Medical Conditions or Physical Limitations
On-site consultation services within the CREC region for students, 3 to 21 years of age, who have multiple disabilities and/or medical needs. Emphasis is placed on assisting schools with implementing new programs, improving existing ones, and promoting best practice.
Shared Out-Of-District Transportation
CREC helps faciliate the sharing of out-of-district transportation services. Here you can find and post transportation shares with other districts.
Center for Creative Youth
A four-week summer residency in the arts for talented high school students. This program increases artistic and academic skills in an advanced and intensive arts curriculum, and reduces racial isolation as diverse students live and work together.
This three-year program partners urban and suburban schools in grades 4, 5, and 6 to enhance student diversity, raise student awareness of diversity issues, and to increase student motivation and skills through the use of new and prior knowledge.
A leadership development institute for high school students that help them understand and appreciate the rich diversity in our communities, identify issues of bias and intolerance, and develop leadership skills that will enable them to create positive change.
Supporting Positive School Climate
Experts assess school climate, develop programs and services aligned with the SRBI framework, and provide professional learning opportunities on important subjects such as bullying, PBIS, restraint, rules and routines, and discipline.
A variety of online learning programs that expand learning opportunities.
Academy for Life, Employment, and Purpose (LEAP)
LEAP offers structured support and guidance from caring adults to enable students success in job settings and with independent living skills. Students have (or nearly) finished grade 12, may have an intellectual disability, mental health diagnosis, or other challenges.
STRIVE (Southern Transition Real-World and Independent Vocational Education)
The STRIVE Program is a community-based transition program for students with disabilities ages 18 to 21 years old. The students participate in community-based work experiences, independent living skills, and community outings.
ATLAS has been designed to address not only the educational needs of a more fragile student, but also the social and emotional issues that may further hinder a student from reaching their full potential.
Connections offers students in grades 9-12 extra structure, support, and creative incentives to stay engaged in the learning environment and to promote positive goals for the future. Significant focus is placed on vocational training and experience.
